RE: Ft. Wilderness Premium vs. Preferred

We stayed on a preferred site in the 300 loop last time and son stayed on a preferred site in the 500 loop. The remodeled preferred sites are much easier to back into for bigger RV's and have a wider concrete pad that extends back to the rear of the site. Cable is the same but there is a hook up for a cable modem for internet access but costs $10 per day.

RE: 05 Beaver-Does not acknowledge Honda 2000i Generator

Your generator probably has a GFI and the 50 to 30 plug adaptor will cause a GFI to trip.

RE: Corian Tile Counter

We had a Corian certified repair person fix some major gouges including the edge and you can not even see the repair.

RE: TVs in all the bathrooms, now I've seen it all!

TV set was on the weather channel in the shower when we stayed there. We stayed on the longest site there. I would guess a 200 ft paved pull through with a concrete patio with table, porch type swing and clay fire pot. Along with cable, wifi was grassy and open and quiet for the location. Rate is actually reasonable for the area and ammenities and the management was very nice.

RE: Air Dryer Filters Replacement

wp4hj and Wolfe10 gave good advice. The reman is a good idea if you do not havae a spin on filter (main) and colasing (small inside) filter. We had an older unit without the spin on feature and involved getting several O rings just right and requied a very clean work area. To get to our spin on requires the removal of the air and electric connections. We installed bullet electrical connectors to ease removal. Theses normally last a number of years so can take a lot of force to unscrew the large filter and it is on top of the housing.

RE: Rear Camera Replacement Access Point On Monaco Knight

We removed our camera and moniter and had them tested and found out it was only a dirty connection. You might want to clean the connections first.

RE: REBUILDING SEALAND TOILET

We have a Sealand in our '97 Patriot and have had trouble free operation since new. No rebuilds or anything. We just keep it clean. Wipe the edge of the seal with a piece of TP fefore dumping or you can use a tooth brush (not the sme one you brush your teeth with). After dumping and as we pull out on the road or the last few hours before we get home or stop we dump the ice maker contents in the black tank along with the gallon of so of water we have already put in it. Cost is zero dollars and less tha 30 seconds of time. We have done it over the last 25 years and 4 motorhomes (one 12 years) and never had a seal or holding tank problem.

RE: need a shower door - beaver

Beaver Ambassador Club Forum Join and post your question. Someone may have been there and done that. Worse case a glass shop may want to replace the whole surround if you cannot find a replacement door glass which would be cheaper than having one custom made.

RE: RV Directories

RV Park reviews above is a good internet source but the Trailer Life is the most extensive. Buy it as a Good Sam member and you can get a "deal" of 50% off plus shipping of $4.00. If you have a friend you can get two with one shipping charge.

RE: Which Disney Park

We have been to Ft Wilderness 5 times so far this year. Where does your interests lie is the big question. The "Disney MGM" is now Disney Hollywood Studios as they have split. Epcot has "Soaran" at The Land that is hugely popular and out of fast passes by 1:00 PM. A non advertized tour of Epcot is on a Segway tour (but I do not know the minimum age) that is neat. We park hop and are fortunate enough to be able to take our time to enjoy each one.

RE: RV Ceiling material

Most of the DP's we have looked at are going to vinyl ceilings. We have the hull liner mentioned above and it has lossened in some areas but is still OK. We have had it cleaned by a carpet cleaning service and it responded well. Vinyl seems like it would be easier to care for and you have more leeway if you want to do patterns.

RE: Savannah GA

We have stayed at Hilton Head a few miles North at the ORA Motorcoach resort. Or the Mariana if you have another type of RV. We then commute South to Savannah and Tybee Island and North To Beaufort and Hunting Island and even Charlston is under two hours. Campgrounds are deluxe.

RE: Disney in April?

We had a good time in January, April, May, twice in September and October this year may not go back till January. Each time is fun just some times its more crowded or hotter or both than others. The Preferred sites in the 500 loop (pet friendly) are open and completed and very nice.

RE: Florescent Lights - 2001 Dynasty - source???

We had a problem with a Thin-Lite and removed the cover and found two small diodes (16 cents each) replaced those about 7 years ago and had no more problems. If the ballast is bad it is normally cheaper to replace the whole light. CW and other RV supply sell replacement lights and the paper specfications are on a seperate sheet of paper supplied by the light maker as Monaco may change brands mid year.

RE: 3116 Cat

Agree with Wolfe10 on the HP thing. We had a '91 3116 210 HP with a 4 spd grossed 24,000 lbs plus a toad of 3500 lbs. We were very pleased with the preformance and fuel mileage was close to 11 mpg.

RE: Monaco - Online Help changed overnight!

Like most companies responses to questions are relative to what the volume is and scheduling and research required. I sent a question about some floorplan repo units and warranty issues and they required the VIN numbers. Took them 4 days but they did give a good answer including the "in service date" to plan by. They were very professional and accurate in the answer. Our next coach will be a Beaver as Monaco will be arround for the long haul IMO.

RE: Goodyear G670's whats your experience?

We have run the 275/70 R 22.5 H 670's for close to three years and the only problem was one was out of round and was replaced by Goodyear. They replaced G159's which replaced Toyos. Both companies have good customer service and do not seem to feel a MH tire is automatically overloaded and the MH owners are tire knowledge deprived like another brand's service representative I tried to talk to. It would be a choice between the above two but Toyo does not want to sell to us so Goodyear is it and makes a good product.

RE: Handy gadget everyone needs

Like the concept, it is very similar to the Vorad system but only works to the front and no side alert. Probably less expensive and may be able to retro fit at some point ing time.
